Arizona State Parks Foundation stands as the partner to assist Arizona State Parks in fulfilling its mission through education, community participation and financial support.
- Increase public awareness of the variety of recreational, natural and historic resources within Arizona State Parks, and the issues that impact them;
- Actively encourage public participation and membership in state park Friends groups, emphasizing the accomplishments and support provided by these groups and the advantages and benefits of these organizations which support and coordinate local efforts to ensure the future of the Arizona State Park system;
- Establish endowments and/or other funds utilizing individual and corporate sponsorships and donations, independent of state park budgets, to support and provide grants for local member Friends of Arizona State Parks organizations and state park enhancement projects;
- Serve as an umbrella organization, in cooperation with Arizona State Parks, to provide cost effective service and support to Friends of Arizona State Parks organizations;
- Establish a central information base for local Friends of Arizona State Parks groups to exchange, share and improve activities and provide training.
